Farm Tours
Sylvania Park offers farm tours on a working Mohair Goat property, 9 Kilometers from Horsham. A one-hour tour is conducted in a turn of the century restored shearing shed. Guests are introduced to our friendly goats, ‘Big Wig’ or ‘Hairy Harry’, our goat ambassadors, and learn about the history and husbandry of these appealing animals.
Our adjoining shop offers a variety of items produced from from the beautiful mohair fibre including rugs, shawls, stoles, scarves and of course our handmade mohair 'Hairy Bearies'
All visitors are intrigued and interested in our wonderful Maremma Stock Guard dogs, which were the first to be introduced to the area by Sylvania Park in 1994
Our elegant Function Centre, with views overlooking the property, is the perfect venue for a handmade afternoon / morning tea or lunch for our tour guests.
